Where Three Gather

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. – Matthew 18:20

There is no God.  Science and logic prove this to be true.

Let’s start with something really hard, creating life from nothing.  We are all familiar with biogenesis, which means “life that is created from life”.  We can witness this with the hatching of a bird or the birth of a child.  The theory that life can occur spontaneously from nothing is called the Theory of Abiogenesis.  Evolutionists hang their hat on this theory, because if this had not happened, we wouldn’t be here today.  Scientists at the J. Craig Venter Institute believe they have proven that life from nothing is possible.  They have created the first synthetic bacterial cell which can multiply and grow.  Although, they didn’t create it from scratch, they destroyed the DNA in an existing cell and replaced it with synthetic DNA, I still think this is very cool.  In the future this technology could be used to cure disease.  Although they have yet to create life from nothing, I believe that this is absolutely possible.

Some scientist say that the universe does not need a creator to exist.  Well, I think that we can all agree that there are proven laws of nature.  Laws like Kepler’s three laws of planetary orbit and Newton’s law of gravity.  Both are instrumental in keeping the planets from crashing into each other and from us just floating into space.  These laws of nature provide order and structure to the universe.  Some would have you believe that these laws just “worked themselves out” by trial and error.  I struggle with this statement because it would imply that the universe is inherently unstable.  With that level of instability, the universe would implode just after creation.  So, for the universe to recreate itself over and over in hopes of reaching a state of stability just seems illogical.

Lastly, science is very good at discovering the “How” of things.  In fact, Hubble’s Law has proven that the universe is expanding.  Which means that, long ago, the universe spontaneously came into existence from a single point of origin which they call the “Big Bang” theory.  I absolutely agree with that.

So, science has proven that life is created from life.  And although man has been unable to create life from nothing, science has shown that to accomplish this requires the intervention of an intelligent being.  Science has also proven that, not only do the laws of nature exist, but they are instrumental in establishing structure and order to the universe.  Also, the existence of the universe came from a spontaneous single event.  So, we are looking for an intelligent being, who established laws which allowed the spontaneous creation of a stable structured universe.  This sounds like God to me.  You may choose to ignore the scientific evidence.  You may also choose to ignore the logic.  I understand, because God created you with a mind that allows you to make your own choices.  He created children not robots.  He desires that you choose him, but in the end the choice is yours.
