Where Three Gather

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. – Matthew 18:20

Evolution is obvious and logical. How can you believe we were created?

Ok let’s start with a definition.  Biological evolution is how living things change over time and how new species develop.  Currently, I’m aware of four versions of the Theory of Evolution.

Theory of Inheritance of Acquired Characters (Lamarck 1809),
Theory of Natural Selection (Darwin 1859),
Mutation theory (De Vries 1901) and
Synthetic theory of evolution (Huxley 1942).

They all basically state that, due to external forces (predators, food, environment), over time a new species will appear and thrive.  I absolutely agree with this.  To understand why I agree, you need to know how man classifies everything on the earth.  The 9 main ranks are; Life > Domain > Kingdom > Phylum > Class > Order > Family > Genus > Species.  Notice that species is the lowest rank.  So as an example, if you placed giraffes in an environment where the trees were really tall where only the tallest giraffes could reach the leaves, the shorter giraffes would surely die of starvation.  We’ve already seen this happen.  Masai giraffes, the tallest of their species, belong to the species Giraffa tippelskirchi, where Kordofan giraffes, the shortest of their species, belong to the species Giraffa antiquorum.  Notice that the short giraffes did not slowly turn into a species of koala in order to eat the leaves.  Because Koalas belong to the order Diprotodontia (which include kangaroos and possums), while giraffes belong to the order Artiodactyla (which include camels and bison).  I don’t believe evolution could ever generate anything greater than a new species not even a different genus.

So here are the two big problems with biological evolution creating something more than a new species.  First, the belief that things are evolving into something better.  That statement is contradictory to the Second Law of Thermodynamics, which states that any isolated system will degenerate over time.  Things decay, we get old, metal rusts and plants die.  Secondly biological evolution believes that a creature can evolve into a completely new animal.  To accomplish this an amoeba with 13,000 genes would have to create 11,000 brand new genes to become human.  That would contradict the Law of Conservation of Mass, which states mass cannot be created or destroyed.  In other words, you can’t create something from nothing.

Now the good news is that I know someone who can… God.  We exist in four dimensions; height, width, depth and time.  God is not bound by these dimensions, because it is not possible for a creator to be constrained like his creation.  The potter is separate from the clay.  The gardener is separate from the garden.  Think about this, the theories of evolution have only been around for just over 200 years.  For the centuries prior, civilizations believed that they were created, not evolved.  Even though I did not witness firsthand the creation of everything, I choose to believe in the Theory of Creationism.  I choose to believe that there is a God who is in control and who will draw me to him when this life is over.  God offers this option to everyone.  It costs you nothing.  It’s just a choice.

Just let me know.
